Traditional Dance Performance "Prende la Vela"

Is the most representative and traditional rhythm and dance folk that come from on the north of the cost in colombia de name is Cumbia; It seeks emphasise the femininity  of women curves, rhythms and sensual movements with musical rhythm doing a tribute to the importance of living element which is fire in this case candle.

Managing director and choreographer of Tunjos y Cantaros Dance Group part of the Colombian Community of Victoria. The group won the 3rd price at the 2010 Johnston street Hispanic Fiesta. the competition included quality of dancing, costume design, realisation and public reaction. After that the group made  dance performances in Ventana Fiesta Festival in Frankston 2011,  then in Preston City Council in a International students Event 2011 and the last one was Viva Festival in Federation Square 2011. Hopefully will be coming more and more events for us!

The origin was around the antic walls in Cartagena because the ethnic races from Africa, Europe and in this case Colombia were minded or mixed and them all this done was appointed "Mestizaje" the real mean of Colombian Cumbia.
